We are looking for freelancers with lived experience of disability to join Passion4Social.

No previous experience is needed. We will provide training, mentoring and support throughout your time with us. What matters most is your lived experience, your curiosity and an ability to share honest feedback about using websites and digital services.

We have 3 roles. We will select up to 10 people:

• Research Participant: one-off project in August
• Accessibility Testers: to be in the pool of Passion4Social testers and be a freelancer for a long time
• Accessible Document Designer: become part of our design team and start a specialist career

All roles are paid at the Real Living Wage and above.

What you bring to the role

• Lived experience of disability and/or using assistive technology to access digital content.
• A passion for improving the accessibility and inclusivity of websites and digital services.
• Openness to engage with our testing approach and follow guidance.
• Experience using online forms and recording your observations.
• An ability to share honest, clear feedback on what went well, as well as any barriers you experienced.
• Reliable internet access, the device(s), and assistive technology you usually use.
• Self-motivation, working independently to meet agreed deadlines.

Special requirements

• For Research Participant, you will need to feel comfortable being observed and interacting with a researcher during a few virtual meetings.
• For Accessible Document Designer, knowledge of Microsoft Word. Knowledge of InDesign is desirable.
