About this webinar
Join us for this 60-minute interactive webinar as we explore the role of alt text in creating accessible digital content.
Alt text is a fundamental part of web accessibility, yet it is often overlooked altogether or treated as an afterthought. When written effectively, it enables people using screen readers to understand visual content and engage fully with digital experiences.
In this session, we will demonstrate how to write meaningful alt text that aligns with WCAG standards and supports a wide range of users, including people with visual impairments and additional access needs.
Using practical examples, we will look at common mistakes to avoid, discuss how context shapes good alt text, and share simple techniques that can be applied immediately across your digital platforms
We aim to make this webinar as accessible as possible.
If you have any access requirements or preferences, please let us know when registering.
You will leave the session with a better understanding of:
- What alt text is and how it relates to good accessibility
- How to write clear, concise, and meaningful alt text
- How alt text supports compliance with WCAG standards
- Common mistakes and how to avoid them
- How context influences good alt text
- Practical techniques for applying alt text across different platforms
